THE VAN
Ice-cream has long been a Corrieri specialty, going back to Bob’s ice cream van in Kelty, Fife in the 1950s.
Although the van is long gone, we continue to make ice cream to our own recipe on the premises, including all of your Scottish and Italian favourites.
THE SHOP
After the van in 1963 came the shop at our current location on Alloa Road. Robert Aldo worked and developed the business, a traditional Scots Italian Cafe purveying fish and chips, homemade ice cream, espresso coffee, and selling confectionary.
They built a good business with Bobby manufacturing ice cream and running the fish and chip shop and Saida looking after the cafe and the confectionary counter.
THE CAFÉ
We are intensely proud of our Italian and Scottish heritage – from Tuscany to Stirling. The cafe in Causewayhead, Stirling is the result of over fifty years of passion and hard work, and it brings us great pleasure to have served generations of locals.
The Ice Cream
All-natural ice cream, made in our on-site workshop, with a selection of traditional Italian flavours, plus all of your favourites.
Vanilla, Strawberry and Chocolate will always top our charts, but you can try Tutti Frutti or our very special Chestnut flavour at Christmas.
This is the real deal. We nipped in on the off chance on Saturday night and were seated quickly. If we’d have left it 15 minutes later, we’d have been disappointed. The place became packed really quickly. The food was simply excellent, the staff courteous and friendly, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
The Jukebox
The source of many great memories at Corrieri’s – the songs may have changed a little, but the atmosphere is just the same.
From Dean Martin on the original Wurlitzer through Bowie to Paolo Nutini on our retro styled memory machine, the jukebox has soundtracked many a great occasion.
The Cycling
We’ve become a a hub for cyclists from Stirling and much further afield. So-much-so, we now sponsor an event in the local cycling calendar – the Corrieri Classic.
The Stirling Bike Club drop in for a welcome milkshake most Sundays.
I can’t rate Corrieri’s highly enough. It may be a cafe but don’t be fooled as it’s a wonderful Italian restaurant with fantastic food, ice cream, coffee etc. It seems to be busy all the time and it’s advisable to book in the evenings.
